What to expect

– Due to the increasing Covid cases in our community, we ask that everyone who joins us to mask while indoors as one of the ways we love each other and our Community.
– If you are not feeling well, please worship with us ONLINE instead of in person.

Your kids can join us for worship!

God gave children a special joy and energy that often makes them wiggle and giggle. They belong right here with us, as a family of God’s people. Thank you for bringing them. Please keep bringing them. You are doing great!

Sit where your family is comfortable. If it easier to keep their attention by sitting close to the stage, do it!

Feel free to quietly explain parts of the service to your children, what is happening and why. Sing and participate with us. Your kids are watching you, all the time! They will learn how to worship by watching you and those nearby.

If you have to leave the service, you are welcome to do so. Please come back. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.”  There may come a time that you need a little more time and space outside of the sanctuary, your family is welcome to watch the service from the commons area or we have a family room where you can hang and still participate in the service. We would love to show you where that is.

To those of you that call CenterPoint home:

We love children and families. It is a joy to have them here! The sound of children is a beautiful sign that Jesus loves his Church and all those in it. Please encourage our families when you see them. Give them a big smile and nod. Tell them they are doing a great job. Let’s walk this journey together.

CenterPoint Budget

This time of year, CenterPoint Church takes some time to do “church business”. This includes a Nominating Committee discerning who God is leading to step into key leadership roles within out church. This includes officers of the church – Moderator, Clerk, and Treasurer. It also includes the Council of Elders, both new and returning Elders. And it includes the church budget.

The church budget year runs concurrently with the calendar year. The proposed budget is prepared by the staff with oversight of the Elders. The Elders put forward the budget to the congregation for final approval. Highlights of the budget being proposed are in the password protected pdf attached here. If you have questions, please contact an elder, Matt Furr (mattf@centerpointnh.org) or Dave Pelletier (davep@centerpointnh.org).

The Budget Information Meeting will be on zoom on Tuesday, December 14 at 7pm. Zoom link will be in the highlights document and will be sent out to the congregation via email on Tuesday the 14th. If you don’t get regular emails, but want to be included, contact Matt Furr at mattf@centerpointnh.org.

The Nominating Committee will be working to have officer and elder nominations ready for congregational affirmation in early 2022.

Please pray for our nominating committee as they discern nominees.

Jon Reckard

Jon and Bonnie have attended CenterPoint for over 30 years. They have 3 grand children with their third grand daughter just arriving two weeks ago. He’s done things like choir (wait, what’s a “choir”?) and Sunday School, Pantry and various small groups over the years. As a current elder here at CenterPoint, he covets your prayers as Matt and other elders try to figure out how to “do church” during this new normal.

Barrie Daigneault

Barrie Daigneault has been a member of Centerpoint Church for the past 15 years, she is happily married to her husband Keith for 22 years and has three children, Dylan, Kayli and Brandon. Barrie has enjoyed her professional career as a therapist for 25 years and loves traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Lizanne Molind

I am Lizanne Molind and I live in Bow. My husband, David, our children, Owen and Gwen, and I have called CenterPoint Church our home since 2002. I work as a physical therapist at a couple of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals here in New Hampshire and in Massachusetts. Over the years I have served our church in many ways, as a children’s teacher, as a greeter on the Connections team and currently as one of the leaders for Women Connecting. I enjoy snow shoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer, as well as cooking and knitting.

Janel McCabe

Janel was born and raised in New England and currently lives in Concord with her husband Chris and their two children:Meaghan and Cooper. She has been part of CenterPoint since 1998 and has served in a variety of roles over the years. Her love for Jesus began during her childhood years as she recalls deciding to become a Christ-follower at the young age of three. She has dedicated her life to following Him and integrating her faith into all aspects of her life. If given any amount of free time, you can find Janel taking trips to NY city or going on long walks with her friends or family

Sue Gilbert

Sue lives in Concord with her husband Bobby. They have three children, Buddy (20), Reece (17) and Rolly (13) and two dogs, Striker and Scarlet. Sue has been an active member at Centerpoint for over 7 years, working at first with Connection team and Food Pantry. But Sue’s heart really lies with the teens in the High School Ministry. Whether it’s Tuesday night Youth Group, Friday night at Skyzone, breakfast at Tucker’s or a weekend at Camp Berea, Sue can be found enjoying conversation and laughter with the teens.

Peter Chasse

Peter and Catherine Chasse have been attending CenterPoint Church since they moved back to New England in 2011 with their three children, Anna, Isaac, and Nathan. Catherine is a middle school Spanish teacher in Weare, NH. Peter is currently serving as an elder here at CP. Peter is deeply committed to helping people understand the incarnational nature of Jesus’ command to love our neighbors. He has been active in church leadership for over 20 years. From young adult ministry in Massachusetts to his role as the Associate Pastor of Main Street Baptist Church in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, and through his leadership over the last 15 years at The Water Project – an international development charity he founded – serving others has been his life’s passion.

Chad Fleming

Chad Fleming started attending CenterPoint Church, then First Baptist, in 1995. New in Concord, from York PA by way of Gordon College and a short stay in Charlotte NC, he was looking for a home church and found it. It did not take him long to connect with several families, be put to work with various maintenance jobs at church, and through Cornerstone Construction ministry reach out to help church members. Chad spent many years leading and helping with singles ministry and high school youth ministry. Participating in men’s group and serving on a Pastoral Search Committee was a deep growing time in his faith walk and as a member of the church.

Chad has been married to Kristen (Lahar) for 17 years. His family also includes Connor, Avery, and Caden who are soon 15, 13, and 11. Chad and Kristen are busy teaching, Chad at Concord High for the last 27 years and Kristen homeschooling for the last 3 years. They both also teach in CP Kids. In his spare time Chad enjoys woodworking projects, home improvement projects, movies and game time with the Fleming and Lahar family.

When asked about CP and being asked to be an elder, he said: “Through the many challenges and changes of our church, CenterPoint has been a blessing to me. And though I am anxious about this new role of elder, through the process of being called to it I have consistently heard Jesus telling me to trust Him. So, I will trust and serve to the best of my ability and lean heavily on Him.”
