Jon Reckard:
Jon and Bonnie Reckard have lived in Dunbarton, NH since 1989 and just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They have two daughters and two granddaughters.
Jon has been programming computers for 39 years, and currently works from home five days a week. With his wife, Bonnie, he’s attended CenterPoint for 28 years, and they’ve been involved in several ministries including the choir, teaching Sunday school, serving on worship teams and taking part in mission’s programs. He currently leads a Community Group, and serves in the CenterPoint Pantry. For most of these ministries, he and Bonnie have served together.
Outside of CenterPoint, Bonnie and Jon have been to Costa Rica on mission and they have helped in disaster relief after hurricanes Katrina and Sandy. Jon has also helped at an orphanage in Haiti.
Jon enjoys getting outside – camping, hiking, kayaking. He particularly enjoys being above treeline, having climbed all over Acadia National Park and all of New Hampshire’s four thousand footers.
Jon looks forward to serving God – and CenterPoint – in this new and challenging position as elder. His prayer is that the members of CenterPoint continue growing – in knowledge of God and His Word, in fellowship and communion with one another, and in extending God’s love and welcome to those outside our church.
